Figure Skating

Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on ice skates. It combines athletic skill with artistic expression and is characterized by a variety of movements, including jumps, spins, and footwork, often set to music. Competitions typically involve two main disciplines: singles and ice dance, as well as pairs skating where couples perform together. Judges evaluate the performances based on technical difficulty, execution, and artistic impression. Figure skating has a rich history and is a prominent event in the Winter Olympics.
